#BrandNewYear

“Don’t Panic!” is back and we’re ready to start thinking! The school year is already underway, and the blog is about to get back into action. We’re reading new books, discussing new ideas, and using new media to discover more about the nature of public texts and understand it in the context of our world.

Laurenne, the blog manager for this year, completed her Honors B.A. at Western University, in the Media, and Information Technoculture program with a minor in English Language and Literature. She is in the Internship stream of the Public Texts program and will be attending Humber College in the summer for the combined degree with Creative Book Publishing. With a focus on commercialization of literature and the publishing industry, Laurenne aspires to be a literary agent and is going to start working towards that goal through this blog!

By discussing the issues surrounding media, the book market, and digital environments, Laurenne will explore new ideas and perspectives about texts and the written word.

So let’s get discussing! #BrandNewYear #BrandNewBlog #PublicTexts
